ABOUT US
Queerobics West Philly is a collectively-run, monthly pop-up, accessibility-centered, all-levels community dance aerobics class and performance all in one, led and steered by queer and trans dance artists, performers of all flavors, anti-oppression fitness folks, public health workers, and chronically ill community members.
Our Dance Captains demonstrate movement variations in real time alongside the lead instructor, including low impact variations and participation from a seated position.
Classes are donation based, and we send a portion of our class donations to a coalition, artist/activist, or mutual aid organization each month. Past organizations have included Save the UC Townhomes Coalition, No Arena efforts, and ACT UP Philadelphia.
